More Computer Friendly Workshops
Computer Friendly is running more of our two-hour interactive workshops on a series of topics to help users get more from their tablets and computers. These will be held at the Quaker Meeting House, Harpenden and in Fleetville Community Centre, St Albans.
At present all face-to-face meetings are suspended, so our workshops will be held online via Zoom.
Hands-on workshops described on this page, are where you will be getting online on your own tablet/computer.

Apple Mac Workshop
A hands-on workshop covering the most useful aspects of Mac OS, as determined by those attending. If you have a MacBook, please bring it along, but iMac users are equally welcome to come and share a screen.
Topics may include:

- Hot corners
- Software updates
- iCloud
- Housekeeping / maintenance
- Security
- Time machine - backup
plus others suggested by you on the day. If time allows we may also cover individual apps if there is a popular demand.

Photos on the Mac workshop
We will explore the alternative approaches to storing, viewing, editing and managing your photos on the Mac, with reference to the Photos app, Image Capture and iCloud etc.
Please bring your own Mac along if you can.
Google Cloud Workshop
- Discover trusted internet cloud providers.
- Explore the Google Cloud and create a note or calendar entry.
- Upload a photo to a Google album and share it privately.
- Answer your questions.
- Bring your own device or use one of our laptops
Making Music with Computers
(and tablets and phones)
In the morning session 10am-12 we will have a look at the history of music technology and at the exciting new programs and apps currently available. In the afternoon we’ll make some music! No previous experience, either electronic or musical is necessary.
Bring some headphones and your own Macbook, laptop, phone, iPad or tablet, or use one of ours.
